Each week a certain salesman is made a fixed amount equal to $300 plus a commission equal to 5 percent of the amount of these sales that week over $1000. What is the total amount the salesman was paid last week?

(1)The total amount the salesman was paid last week is equal to 10 percent of the amount of these sales last week.
(2)The salesman's sales last week total $5,000

其實我只是想知道一句翻譯而已...

紅色那句話，意思是指...
每個禮拜銷售員會有一個固定$300薪資再加上銷售超過$1000的5%佣金。
那麼...是指超過1000元，也就是我在列式的時候，要把他的total銷售減掉1000然後再乘上5%嗎？

300+0.05(t-1000)=0.1t

但是小弟有個疑問...為什麼答案是C..而不是D阿
因為根據題意我們只能列出

300 + 5%(sales - 1000)

根據statement(1) 我們可以得到
10%sales = 300 + 5%(sales - 1000)
可以直接求出sales,進而求出earning

根據statement(2) 我們可以得到
sales = 5000
再帶入 300 + 5%(sales - 1000)
亦可以求出earning.
