Can't agree more with cburger and ccuturandot!
As cburger's comments, the hirability in the U.S. is based on the national/regional reputation of indvidual schools (50%) and 2. the efforts & determination of individuals (50%). Career center is not significantly important in the job searching process.
If I were you (perspective MBA students), I would:
Speak to the alumni who have similar pre-MBA background and post-MBA goals. Therefore, you can reformulate the job searching strategy and get prepared mentally in the early stage.
The battle starts when some MBA students gets on-campus interviews, and some others don't.
Who do we compete with? (Other international students, in many cases) What are the recruiters looking for?
Why do they get interviews? (Relevant & pre-MBA experience, well-written resume, networking, etc..?) While attempting to get upcoming interviews on-campus, what else can we do?
Time is ticking away, while the determination needs to be reinforced again and again.
Cheers!
