[急問] 請問是否有人可以分享Berkeley的面試經驗?

沒有報甚麼希望，但剛剛突然收到校方的interview invitation
所以一整個心亂如麻了起來Orz......

趕快來爬文，但好像還沒有朋友分享過Berkeley的面試經驗
不知道有沒有好心的大大能夠分享一下呢?

看起來好像是校方會派人來個兩天，集體面試的樣子.......

請問大大是on campus interview嗎?
目前收到的學校都強調建議要on campus，可是好貴啊
不去又擔心只有自己沒去
其他人都去了

Let me put it this way. If you organize a trip to visit all the schools that you get interviews, it will be easier for you to choose a program that best fits you should you get all the admissions. When you interview on ground, I don’t think it will give you better odds from admissions officer’s prospective given that lots of people visit school every day. However, I would say school visit definitely helps you answer the “WHY” question better b/c you can learn a lot from current students and from your own observation. I truly believe that I wouldn’t have gotten into Darden had I did my interview in Asia. If this is a very important game to you, you will like to work on every opportunity to make yourself stand out.

然後，photonbbs不用太擔心!
我目前面試的三家都是在台灣面試的
兩家跟校友，一家是phone interview
結果都是好的

我想學校能夠理解international students在這方面比較不方便
所以她會希望on campus應該也只是希望你更認識這間學校一點
比較能夠清楚知道這是不是你想要的環境
如果純粹以有沒有去campus就決定錄不錄取這個學生
這樣學校也太武斷了啦!

但就像C大所說的，能夠去campus實際接觸那邊的學生和環境
能夠幫助你更了解這間學校
所以如果時間上或經濟上不允許跑去學校一趟
可以多尋求在校學長姐或校友的幫助
畢竟網路上看到的資訊都只是官方文字
真正在那邊的生活感受，想必一定有文字所無法表達的地方吧:)
