MarkHsu \$m[1]:Got this info from Facebook, which has a group for the entering class.
As of this point, there are at least 126 confirmed members for Columbia's Class of 2010. But I am sure there are many who were admitted who are not on Facebook. Let's assume that 50% are not on Facebook so the # admitted thus far could be 252 (126/0.5), which leaves around 350 spaces still.
Looks a little bit sad, there are not much seats available.
However, let me create some happiness to you guys.
Usually, the number of granted MBA admission will be always larger than size of school. Adcom will usually presume a "yield rate" into how many admission letter would be submitted. For example, Columbia 2007 admitted 919 prospected students, the number which is larger than enrolled students, 711 (77% yield rate). That means there should be still 667 (919-252) seats available.
Good Luck!!!
