[問題]急問有關Emory interview request的問題

想請問一下,
我收到Emory寄給我的Complete Application通知,
內容提到
If you are living abroad and have not interviewed, you are being considered for a telephone interview. Please do not contact us. If you are selected for a telephone interview, you will receive an email invitation to schedule a date and time.

但是,我今天無意中在他們的網站上,又看到
Telephone interviews are granted only to pre-selected candidates who are currently residing outside of the U.S. and are not able to meet with an Admissions director for an in-person interview. In order to be considered, candidates must have a completed application on file, and you must indicate in your application that you wish to be considered for a phone interview.

我的問題是,我當初在申請文件上,並未註明我想得到電話面試的機會,
但從學校的通知看來,他們又不希望我們主動連絡面試的事情。

請問我現在到底該怎麼辦比較好?
究竟該不該主動跟學校爭取電話面試的機會呢?

我想interview通常都是校方寄出邀請(尤其像這種top 20範圍附近的),所以你如果主動要求一個interview,但在校方已經建議不要寫信去要求的情況下;我個人會覺得這封信雖然的確展現你的熱情但另一方面卻也有扣分的可能~~

我記得Emory二月的時候會再來台灣arrange some in-person interviews with selected applicants...

不然你就寫一封信給校方,要求的不是phone interview but the in-person interview in Feb. 然後說明一下你沒有在application上要求phone interview的原因是因為你更想藉由in-person interview讓interviewer更認識妳~~再補充說明妳很清楚必須校方發出邀請才能進行面試但是你真的很希望到時候有面對面的機會!

這樣一來,我想你並不違背校方"不要寫信request "phone interview"的要求"(畢竟妳是希望他們能把妳考慮進in-person interview)然後又可以展現你的passion (忽然覺得自己真會走漏洞!)
