By the way, I am the one "behind" 小君 who has six-year experience in an automaker in Taiwan
. You are more than welcome to talk with me anytime about the industry specifically. I love to make friends and talk about cars with enthusiasts. Due to the complexity yet availability & popularity (compared with aerospace industry) of auto industry, there are strong connections and a good number of case studies with this industry, especially in topics of marketing, product development, or operations. Shoot me for more personal talks and concerns, at hchou2007@kellogg.northwestern.edu. Nice to meet you here.
One more thing. I would say U. of Michigan is already the b-school with the highest percentage of student recruited by auto industry among all top b-schools. For example, my school never reached 3% in last like 3 years. This is all about the trajectory and prospect of the industry and the nature of b-schools, especially in US as far as I know. The majority of b-school students are really either consulting or banking.
