well, I want to do finance stuff, because I have heard (also some of my friends says the same)that this industry does make a lot of money. Put it this way, I want to do finance stuff because I can make a lot of money. This is the only reason. If there are other industry that I can make more money than the finance industry, then I would definitely go to it.
You mentioned that you were going to work for Edward Jones, but ended up not. May I ask why? They are also an investment company, very similar to the AXA. Your reson to quit could be very helpful to me.
I know I may not be able to make a lot of money during the first 1 or 2 years. However, is there any other better job opportunity, for any newbee like me, to make more money than this job? if there are some, I would very like to email my resume to them.
You mentioned that you believe the market right now is in demand for more financial advisors as there is a need for this. Again, may I ask why? (To be honest, I am not very familiar about U.S. job market or the U.S. economy.)
Last, mine internship was in Taipei, last year, by the time I was still in Taiwan. I got myself an full-time paid internship, working for an ex-politician. It is actually the internship that made me feel so disgusting about politics. I have decided never go to politics anymore.
I would like to hear some response from you. As you said, our situation is very similar. :)
