Wet
(For hair, clothing, and most surfaces I would not use "humid" or "moist" at all. I would call them "damp" or "wet".)。例如:a dark dank and chilly cave 一個既黑暗又潮濕、又陰冷的洞
humid 潮溼的(沒有"moist"那麼溼),用來指空氣、溼度(用來談氣候或氣象):The most common use of "humid" is probably to describe air. Air is humid until it reaches the point of drizzle or rain. At that point, I could say "It's moist out today". But I would never call the air itself "moist" because by that time it would already be "rain".
Her eyes were moist with tears.
Grasses were moist with dew.
I would call soil "humid" if it contained some moisture but the soil was still in particles, and "moist" if it had more water in it and parts of it were close to becoming mud.
For skin, I could say "moist" but not "humid": He has a fever, his skin is moist with sweat. I could also call skin "damp" or "wet".
Basically a "moist" cloth or wipe has quite a lot of liquid in it; if you squeeze it some liquid will come out.
錯誤的組合:a damp lip, a humid blanket, a moist bedroom, air is moist
可以的組合:a damp blanket, a damp bedroom, damp walls, a humid day, a moist cake, a moist lip
Humid days are usually uncomfortable, so sleeping between damp sheets is harmful to one's health. But the grasses were still moist with dew this morning.
