Dear Ph.D student,
We are excited to introduce the 2008 New Doctoral Student Consortium (NDSC) at the Academy of Management (AOM) annual conference, taking place in Anaheim this August. As you may remember if you were in attendance last year, the NDSC is an invaluable resource to Ph.D. students pursuing a degree in a management-related field. Through a one-day intensive series of presentations, workshops, and networking events, the NDSC helps new students by both introducing them to the AOM annual conference experience and enhancing their ability to fully participate as an AOM member. Students will have the opportunity to interact with AOM division chairs, learn inside information on publishing, meet future collaborators and coauthors, make new friends, and engage in discussions related to their academic goals.
As at least one student from your school registered for this consortium in 2007, we hope that you will continue your support by encouraging your colleagues to again take advantage of the NDSC this year in Anaheim.
The 2008 NDSC will be held on Saturday, August 9th , from 8:15am-5:00pm. For more information (including how to register), please visit our website at http://group.aomonline.org/ndsc. Please note that space is limited, and registration is confirmed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Other events include an open Happy Hour social on Friday evening and a reception for all NDSC participants, contributors, and supporters on Saturday.
