UIUC Interview....

I just got UIUC on campus interview invitation and the admission office mentioned that UIUC dose not conduct phone interview or off campus interview during this time. Is this invitation part of the standard procedure? I mean does it happen to each applicant? Any suggestion will help...... *-)
