[請益] 順利申請到學校 我卻徬徨了 請幫幫我

在板上吸收眾板大的精華將進二年的時間，今年終於也輪到我出國進修了

上星期收到這二所學校的admissiom，要我二月底前就要回覆
對於這樣的結果 我很徬徨，請幫幫我 給我一點建議

U of connecdicut 康乃狄克州 排名全美59名
費用 約台幣270萬 畢業薪水70000美金
特別考慮 入學前先修到微積分

U of Alaba ma-Tuscaloosa (Manderson) 阿拉巴馬州 排名全美73名
費用 約台幣200萬 畢業薪水51500美金
特別考慮 第一年給獎學金4500美金

雖然長遠目標是到香港或上海工作(想進跨國公司)，但是短期還是希望在美國獲得工作經驗，所以我對於學校的第一考量，是以好找工作為主。

目前只有得到這二家的admission，其實有點擔心，因為爬了版上的文，似乎沒有前30~50大，能留在美國的機會很小，更不用說進入跨國公司，很害怕二年的心血沒有回報，也對於學校的選擇更戒慎恐懼。二家都有我想要修的課程，康乃狄克比較近大都會，排名比較好，但是機會成本也比較高，入學前必須先找到能修微積分的學校。阿拉巴馬入學條件比較優，但是排名較差，爾且台灣校友好少> <

想請問各版大，這二家學校在美國的風評如何呢?地區對於美國就業影響多大?
如果回亞洲就業，這二者有差別嗎?
好苦惱喔~~~希望有校友能給我一點信心阿!

工作經驗:3.5年 國內金控，二年貸款部門，一年半financial advisor，國內金融證照六張
領導經驗:assistant manager
學歷:國內大學 英文系畢業 副修日文
Toefl:CBT240 GMAT: 630 (M51/V23/AWA3.5)

我未來想走MBA in Finance，並修consulting
想進顧問公司，專長公司財務領域

其實二個學校課程都可以讓我學到finance和consulting
但是未來就業機會還是很擔心，畢竟花心血出去，想找的工作一定是往上爬的

希望大家可以給我過來人的經驗阿!

Only based on my experience:

what's more important is your commitment and drive to finding a job. The school can only offer help as to career resource and perhaps alumni networking. I am not familiar with each school, but I will suggest that you ask for some on-campus recruiting information, and the intern/employment history of the previous few classes.

you have to to prepared to work 10 times harder than other domestic students in order to get a job in US, especially in a deteriorating macroeconomic environment.

another suggestion is to look for alternate regions. since you have some background in Japanese. There's an annual Japan career fair in Boston around Oct or Nov. that you can look into.

the start salary are for overall average
frankly speaking
you have to be really exceptional in your program
to get a job at in that level of salary

in consulting industry it's even harder
much harder
first they'll screen you from the target schools
then screen your GMAT score
it should be easier to get in corporate finance since you have quite consistent experience
but unless you work extremely hard on all consulting cources and cracking case practices
it'll be a tough dream

but paths are found by explorers
you can still do it with your strong commitment

cburger and David are right about the importance of the determination for getting a job in another countries and the starting salary.

Consulting, other than management consulting, there is also operation, IT, financial...etc, so what you can do is to narrow down what fits the best for you. Finance area is very broad, however.

Last but not the least, it's nice to see fellow Taiwaneses determined to pursue a career abroad. However, sometimes it's not easy to give advices based on limited information you provided. If you want an MBA and the chance to land a job aborad is "nice to have" for you, or, if you want a very certain return on your MBA due to loans or whatever, the story can be very different.

哈囉, 我是U of Connecticut MBA一年級生,
微積分其實並不是一定要修的哦~
因為我大學是新聞系所以也被建議要先修微積分,
但是上屆有很多很好心的台灣學長姐說,
其實並不是強迫的,
所以我還是不怕死的前往美國了~噗

有先修當然會比較輕鬆啦,
不過如果你認真看課本認真上課認真發問,
還有我厲害的兩位台灣商學院同學,
我還是生存下來了!!
