Hi Folk,

I just received my I-20 from one admitted school to which I decided to attend. However, I found an obvious mistake made by the school on my I-20 form that is "Country of birth" which is obivously inconsistent with my passport's indication.

Should I return the 1-20 to the school for asking a correct one or.......? anyone has the same experience?

I would definitely ask the school to issue a new I-20 to you, better be safe than sorry. As for the incorrect I-20, you can ask the school if it wants the I-20 to be returned, or be destroyed on your own.

I have the same experience. One months ago I received the I-20s, but the Dependent's Country of Birth and Dependent's Country of Citizenship on my wife's I-20 were all wrong. I asked the department to send correct I-20s to me. Two weeks later, I received the updated I-20s, but the errors were still there. This time I called the International Service Office and received the correct ones one week later.
