已經接受學校的offer,請問可以反悔嗎?

不好意思,我想請問板上的前輩們有沒有這樣的經驗...

我已被一所學校的研究所錄取
學校要求我在4/15前回覆
但是我還有一間頗喜歡的學校還沒給通知
我打電話問過學校,校方說要再兩星期結果才會出爐(這樣勢必來不及了)
所以我準備先接受之前那一所學校的offer(我很怕錯過這所學校就沒有其他學校可以唸了)

我想請問,如果已經答覆學校說要去,但後來又想去另一間學校,我有反悔的餘地嗎?
我希望聽聽前輩們的經驗,謝謝!

這個問題我也問過我已經在美國唸過書的同學，當然可以反悔，只是學校可能會留下記錄，對於以後想再申請該校會有影響。
如果要繳定金，當然定金也會浪費。

理論上是可以的 只要學校願意放人 這是無所謂的 而且基本上學校都會尊重你的選擇 雖然心裡很不爽
道義上儘量不要 狹路相逢阿 小心以後莫名其妙被擺一道

先跟第一家學校延期決定時間，一個禮拜應該沒問題。

直接說你在等另一家的結果，請他延期到幾號讓你好好考慮。

我之前是這樣做的，提供你做參考。

Yes...U can just ask school to give u extention. I have ever done that to USC, too. I didn't detail my reason and only say "for personal reason" instead, then they give me 2 weeks extension without hesitation.

Wow~ That will be a good idea! I haven't thought about it. Right, pay the deposit and then no show will give bad impression!

其實學校的回覆信上還有一個選項是:
可以晚一點再做答覆,但是offer可能會被取消
所以我有點擔心
不過由於我想要的學校國際學生聽說不多,我想被錄取的可能性應該不大
所以我應該會直接接受這個學校的offer

What we suggest is sending a "email" to admission office first to get the deadline extension for extra 1 or 2 weeks to reply the offer, NOT just repling the offer and said I have not decided yet. It is totally different strategy.

It is a addition email for you to get a option to get the extra time to consider. They may reject your request but this action does not suffer you; in this scenario you can then reply you will go (or not go). If they accept your request, you can wait to decide until the final results coming.

I did it for UW-Seattle last year, and summerdream did it for USC. Be flexible, and be aggresive. Good luck.
