急！請問南加大公關碩士的要求～～有校友可以現身說法嗎？

今年要申請學校了，
目前考慮得學校中，有鎖定南加大的傳播學院，
在考慮到底要唸strategic public relation還是communication management?
去學校網站研究兩個program，
是分屬在不同的學院之下，公關是屬於新聞學院，傳管是放在傳播學院下，
可是問題來了，
公關的requirement竟然要TOEFL 280以上，GRE　verbal要550以上，
天啊＠＠～我看到這規定嚇了一跳，怎麼比常春藤名校還嚴格。
反而是傳播管理program沒有明訂出要求分數。
可是我翩翩比較有興趣的是這個，
但是我托福只有247分，GRE台灣筆試490 分，
只有ｇｐａ比較高，
所以我很想問問再南加大讀書的各位，
是否可以替我解答一下，
以公關開出的條件，我到底可以丟它嗎？
是真的要那麼高才能去唸嗎？
那我是不是沒希望了？有人可以現身說法嗎？
因為若是真的錄取機率很小，
那我就要丟別的program了> <~否則浪費錢，賭注又太大。

Some programs at USC gave very hight requirement for English proficiency-- PR is one of them. Unlike the Communication Management, where many students are from overseas, the PR program at USC recruit much more Americans. Therefore, without a solid English capability, you may experience some hard time even if you get in.

But, you can certainly give it a try if you want. When I applied to USC, the program (though neither PR nor CM) also required a TOEFL score of 280, but mine is 7 points lower than the threshold. However, I got in anyways.

However, my advice would be to retake the TOEFL if you can-- when applying to communication and PR programs, especially good ones, English capability plays a very important role. A TOEFL score at least higher than 250 would greatly enhance your chance of getting into a good school, not just USC.
