(A)(C)錯是因為用less(people應用fewer)
(D)(E)則是因為前者seven people,後面加定冠詞the變成指定,故錯(這有點難)
(D)改變句意
(B)在此的than為關代 movies-fewer (people) than(=who) have been

正確翻譯應為這世紀只有七個人死於在電影以吃人者著稱的大白鯊,其人數比被蜜蜂螫死的還要少

不只這一題，還有4-4、8-11 莫老師每次解題的答案都有出入，不過我還是會以更新版為主。因為我覺得老師真的超誇張的上進，空閒的時候竟然在背字典∼∼ 所以他如果有更合理的解釋，更好的答案，就會改變原來所選的！

所以這題現在是B嚕

而且GMAT 730很多答案都很怪
還是相信大部分人的選擇以及莫杯杯的選擇

句子只有主詞 (Americans) 可以比較,所以省略.

GWD7-Q4 句子有主詞 (people), 受詞 (shark)
從 (A) 來看,原句更正之後想表達的是 movies—fewer than those ; those = the ones ,這樣可能要選 (E).
但是 (E) movies, fewer than the ones {(who are) killed...} 句意只到 the ones 然後沒了(後面過去分詞片語的作用為 the ones 的形容詞).
所以 the ones 有可能和 shark 比較: Only seven people ... have been killed by {the great white shark, fewer than the ones.} 顯然句意不合理.
再次驗證跟主詞比較,動詞是不能省略的.所非劃線部份的 killed 應該是動詞,不是分詞.
另外, those 寫成 the ones 不簡潔.
(B) 應該是較佳選項.

這個句子,實在應該這麼寫: Only seven people ... have been killed by the great white shark, fewer than (those) have (been killed) by bee stings.
循 OG10-Q187, 當 those 所代的名詞本身就泛指非特定對象時 (e.g. Americans, people) 應該省略.
