要怎麼解釋C的結構?

選項C的動名詞 hissing、rearing、broadening 跟 feigning 都是跟主句動詞 (put) 平行的連續動作，
因為一個句子中只能有一個動詞 (put)，所以全部改為動名詞，
後面使用了 but 做為語氣轉折的連接詞，再用 it 指代回前句主詞 (hognose snake)，
達到承上啟下的作用
